Wayne Carey Speaks Out On ABC TV Show Enough Rope
Wayne Carey has broken his silence and appeared on the ABC television show Enough Rope hosted by Andrew Denton. There are going to be varying opinions to this
interview and I didn’t really know how to take him. Was he serious? Was he told what to say? Is this a PR exercise to get people to feel sorry for him? There is no doubt that Wayne Carey is a troubled individual but I came away from this interview thinking that he is in denial as to what has transpired over the past few months. He sat there and categorically denied just about everything that has been reported in the media. There has to be some tiny piece of truth to at least one the “incidents” that took place. There was a lot of anger from disgruntled Melbourne fans after the game with a lot of that anger being leveled at new coach Dean Bailey. This is totally unwarranted, questions like “Do you think he has what it takes to be a Senior coach” and “His game plan is just not right”. If I were you Demon fans I would be centering my attention on your Senior Players and in particular the leadership group who simply do not stand up when the team needs them to. It is being left up to youngsters like Nathan Jones, who has been the Demons best player by far in the first 2 games. Read more
