AFL Football Round 2 - Sydney vs Port Adelaide

AFL Football Round 2 - Sydney vs PowerThis could be a nil all draw. The Swans are the kings at playing the SCG and bottling the game up. While the Power I reckon need an open style of game with the Burgoynes needing the space to run and deliver to the forwards. Warren Tredrea with his big body becomes very important for the Power and will need to throw his weight around. The Cornes brothers will need to be in an under and getting the footy out to the runners. The Swans youngsters were brilliant last week, Keiran Jack, Jarred Moore, Heath Grundy all made impressive starts, while Irish man Tadgh Kennelly was outstanding with his run from defence with 25 touches. Will Craig Bolton use the “Tunnelling” Tactic on Tredders this week? All eyes will be on him you would imagine.

A big bonus for the Power is Lade and Brogan in the Ruck and they need to exert their presence and dominate in the air if the Power are going to come away with the win. This is an area, with “Spider” still on the sidelines, that needs to be exploited.

Mark Williams was not happy with the result last week and blasted the side, especially the mid field group so you can expect them not to put on a performance like they did last week. Look out for the Cornes boys and Tredders to be on the angry pills! It becomes vitally important that the Power do the little things like blocking and tackling to free up some space for their runners to get into the game.

This will be a close contest because of the way the Swans play. Because of that I think they will get up by 4 points.
