AFL Football Round 4 – North Melbourne vs Melbourne, Port vs Brisbane and Sydney vs West Coast
The Kangaroos have had an up and down start to the 2008 AFL Football Season but I was impressed by their performance last week against a strong Hawthorn outfit. Brent Harvey has been in outstanding form for the Kangas and will be hard to contain, but the Demons must if they are any chance of winning. With Nathan Thompson gaining in confidence and Shannon Grant and Corey Jones kicking some goals the Demon defense will have a hard day. Nathan Jones has been great for the Demons and has been a shining light in an ordinary start to the year. Cale Morton has showed that he has some fight and determination and has been another to impress. Melbourne’s competitive mindset needs to continue and they were good in that area last week.
The North Melbourne team are a hard an tough team and I just don’t think Melbourne have the goal scoring power that the Kangaroos have and therefore will not kick enough goals to win the game. North Melbourne by 43 points.
Sydney vs West Coast Eagles
I am a bit worried about the Eagles at the moment and with the news that ball magnet Matthew Priddis is out of the line up all things are pointing to a Swans win. To much is left up to the likes of Cox, Kerr, Hunter, Priddis and these blokes have been traveling OK and yet the next tier of players just are not putting their hands up. They will definitely be sweating on the availability of Cox The big Q down in the goals square is struggling to take a grab and Darren Glass just getting a few goals kicked on him at the moment. On the other hand the Swans are up and running at the moment and with his Extreme Makeover behind him Big Bad Barry Hall is starting to find some ominous form.
Ryan O’Keefe has been in rare form he had 27 touches last week and kicked a couple of goals as well and is extremely hard to match up on. The Swans are masters at controlling stoppages and the flow of the game and I think they have the cattle to be able to negate the Eagles play makers. Sydney by 19 points.
Port Adelaide vs Brisbane
The Port Adelaide Football Club have had a start to the season they would rather forget 0 -3 after 3 rounds. But at AAMI Stadium
this week they should be able to account for the Lions this week. They took it up to Adelaide last week and responded to the SOFT Label by coming out and being really hard at the footy and the man. Chad Cornes has put his hand up to take the Big Man Jonathon Brown. The Burgoyne brothers are in outstanding form in terms of gathering possessions but will they ever pick up an opponent?. Opposition sides need to play a dangerous player on these to to make them be accountable.
Daniel Bradshaw is loving the fact that Jonathon Brown in getting the best defenders and he can just do his own thing in the goal square. He is a dangerous player and another that is hard to match up on. While the Power need to negate Brown they will need to do the same for this guy. David Rodan was up and about last week and added some much needed run a zip for the Power, Tredrea was down and you can expect him to lift this week. The Power are desperate for a win and will get over the line I think 26 points.

North have been disappointing like the Eagles. Yes the Eagles have had injuries as well as bad player looses but players like Fletcher, Embley, Q, Hansen have been rubbish.
Brisbane have been average. I think which ever star (Brown or Tredrea) fires will win.
we bet melbourne by 43 points one day and we can do it again
we one again in that match and we can keep the good work up to keep winning
