AFL Hall Of Fame Tribute Match - Here is My Starting Line Up

AFL Football Hall Of Fame Tribute MatchWell I don’t care what anyone else thinks about this game, as a football supporter I think this game will be a brilliant spectacle!

What is better than seeing the best of the best running out on the same ground and playing against each other. It is a mouth watering proposition, with match ups that you are not likely to see ever again. Jonathon Brown, Chris Judd, Jimmy Bartel, Garry Ablett in one jumper and Buddy Franklin, Andrew McLeod, Matthew Pavlich, Simon Goodwin, Chad Cornes in the other jumper, I can’t wait. There have certainly been some knockers of this game like Graham Cornes, but nevertheless I am sure the players will be keen for this one.

The Squads for both Teams have been announced with 40 players for both the Victorian side and the Dream Team sides. Mark Thompson will coach the Big V and Mark Williams the Dream Team side. Ticketing information for the game can be found here.

Now that the squads have been announced I thought I would put my coaches hat on and I have been at the selection table to select my starting line ups for both teams, Here they are. Feel free to comment on the sides and even put in your starting line ups.

    Few suggestions:
    * Drop Mathew Lloyd for Vics, too many forwards already
    * Bring in Dane Swan for Vics, you will need a stopper to tame an All Star

    * Drop Nathan Bock - too many talls again
    * Bring in either Alwyn Davey or Ryan Griffen for some extra spead

Where the hell is Brad Sewell? How did he miss the Squad? And on the Squad, how did Leuenberger get in with one good game ahead of Simon Taylor (yes Hawks Bias!)?

@Kick2Kick Lloyd could possibly go and I think Griffen before Davey. @Molly Leuenberger can’t play surely?

[...] those lists of 40 down to the final 25 is not that easy but you should get in there and have a go! Sure beats carrying on about Barry Hall for the next [...]

I dont understand how you could leave dane swan our of the line up, he is one of the inform midfeilders going round in the comp. this year. And why did they name Leuenberger, there are so many better ruckman out there. Leuenberger has only had one decent game. Daniel Kerr is a Legend!

Gotta pick alwyn davey and dale thomas, bring a bit of youth into it, there fast, clever and brilliant. they bring a new angle into the game.
