Should Wayne Carey be Inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame?
January 31, 2008 | Filed Under AFL News
With all the talk about the Duck and his recent antics and whether this would result in him not being inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame. I thought I would run a Poll for the rest of the week to see what we all think about this. Kevin Bartlett has said the decision would “polarise” the football community. Carey would have been an automatic inclusion but it now hangs in the balance. What do you think?

Hello I have been a BIG fan of Waynes for a long time.I have been going for the roos since i was 7 years old and i am 38 this year. Just becouse he made a big mistake dosnt mene he sould punished for being a great footy player after all Bill Clinton was a ass and he was a presdient.
even though im like 13 ii really really like wayne carey. Iv been a north supporter since i was born…. the media should jst leave him alone. hes a retired footballer for god sakes… He has his own life like we all do…
I have very little respect for Carey’s personality/attitude & behaviour but what can’t & shouldn’t be denied is the fact that he was probably the most outstanding AFL player of the last century. If it were an AFL “Hall Of Fair And Honourable Blokes”, even Carey wouldn’t expect nomination. But he so obviously deserves his place in AFL’s Hall 0f Fame that his omission is insulting to us, the footy public, who saw that skill &incredible talent.
