Judd To Return To Perth
Friday Night Football this week sees the Carlton Football Club make the dreaded trip over to Perth to take on the West Coast Eagles who along with Melbourne have given the season away. Well at least they should have anyway. It also sees the return of one of West Coast’s favorite sons Chris Judd.
I was reading an article the other day and West Coast Coach John Worsfold insinuated that Judd lacked the defensive side of his game and that maybe they can put someone on him that can kick goals and hurt him the other way. Yeah Good one, they can’t even kick goals when they are not tagging let alone tagging the best in the business. Carlton Coach Brett Ratten has made it clear that the Blues players will be behind Chris Judd 100% in what promises to be an interesting encounter.
“Players will probably get into him and give him a mouthful and a hit here [or there], but we’ll support Chris 100 per cent. We’ll make sure he has a good return back to Perth,”
Making things worse for the Eagles Daniel Kerr is out, thanks to that “accidental” head butt on Scott West, Dean Cox in doubt with his foot but rumors are that he will play, Shannon Hurn to miss a month, Adam Hunter has bone bruising to his left knee and will miss this week and maybe 5 more. So the Eagles are certainly struggling in the injury department.
With Kerr out the Carlton midfield look quite a bit better than the Eagles with Nick Stevens, Judd, Murphy, Scotland, Simpson, Carazzo all enjoying patches of good form but it will be a test to see if they can find different avenues to goal if Brendan Fevola gets held by Glass. These mid fielders, along with livewire Eddie Betts need to kick some goals if this is the case.
I just think that the Eagles are really struggling at the moment and with the host of players that are out from last week the Blue Baggers can get over the line and Judd will be Best On.

I agree that Judd does have his defensive side lacking but like you say: Who can in the Eagles kick goals on him? Maybe Embley will be a good match up.
Carlton are favourites but I still think Subiaco will hold a few fears for opposition teams.
