Well the much anticipated appeal from Collingwood Football Club on “that” Nick Maxwell bump has just been heard and the decision is that he is free to play in next weeks NAB Cup game.
Maxwell becomes the first player in AFL History to win an appeal under the new system…..Is this a sign of things to come? He becomes the first out of 11 players to go to the appeals board to win
Mr Terry Forrest QC, Maxwell and Collingwood’s advocate will be “The Man” when it comes to appeals from now on….
Quite extraordinary.

I wrote this a couple of years ago about how everyone just loves to take a crack at the pies. Didak got off this and when people talk about trial by media, this incident proved that when black and white stripes are involved it’s open slather.
